The symbol of fire in traditional arts often embodies various meanings such as transformation, passion, purification and energy. Artists across cultures use fire as a powerful metaphor, depicting its dynamic and unpredictable nature to convey themes of life, creativity, and the cyclical nature of existence. The dual qualities of fire, capable of both destruction and creation, make it a rich symbol in traditional artistic expression, offering a versatile and profound representation of human experience and emotion. The present study was prepared with the aim of investigating the role and symbol of "fire" in the traditional arts of Iran. In Iranian art, fire is often associated with Zoroastrianism, the ancient religion of Iran before Islam. One of the notable examples is the use of fire motifs in Iranian carpets, miniature paintings and architectural elements. In addition, fire is a symbol of enlightenment, wisdom and the eternal struggle between good and evil in Iranian artistic expression. The method of conducting the present research is library-based, and it is prepared from among the valid articles and books available with the research. In this research, we examine fire in ancient beliefs, fire in ancient Iran, light and fire, the place of fire in Iranian culture, and the symbol of fire in traditional Iranian culture.
