Today culture and art play crucial roles in generating economic and cultural capital, serving as key factors in societal progress across various dimensions. The economy of culture and art has emerged as a significant area of study in the West since the 1980s and 1990s, particularly from an economic perspective. As an interdisciplinary field, cultural economics is shaped by the social, cultural, economic, and political contexts of society, encompassing social and cultural dimensions that warrant attention from a sociological viewpoint, especially in cultural and economic sociology. The aim of the present study is to theoretically answer the question that from the sociological approach, what is the definition of the constituent parts of the concept of economy, culture and art separately, what definition of the sociological approach can be provided from the economy, culture and art, this concept How is it different from similar concepts and what components does it have. From this perspective, the economy is viewed as a vital component of the social system, comprising roles, relationships, and social networks that generate economic capital. While acknowledging the diverse definitions of culture, the economy of culture and art emphasizes the material aspects of culture and cultural forms (art goods), alongside the intellectual, moral, and artistic activities related to human life. Its primary objective is to produce cultural capital. Thus, from a sociological standpoint, the economy of culture and art is a cohesive system of roles, situations, networks, actors, and communication patterns that strive to maximize economic capital while enhancing cultural capital through the production, distribution, and consumption of artistic goods.
