Art streamlining of galleries in Iran

The gallery is the center for the display of newly created works of art by visual arts artists. Galleries are divided into two categories: public galleries and private galleries. The global experiences of the activities of galleries, especially the experiences of European and American countries, reached Iran since the end of World War II. At first, the galleries supported by the embassies displayed works of art, and after them, in the late twenties and early thirties, several cultural centers and private galleries entered the field of visual arts in a more professional manner. Galleries played an important role in promoting important art movements in the last seventy years; Modern European styles and important contemporary trends such as Saqaqhana painting were recorded and promoted through the activities of galleries. The present article, which was written in a descriptive and analytical method, took a qualitative look at the artistic flow of galleries in Iran and the factors affecting these flows; The main purpose of writing this article is to understand the effects of art galleries on art trends in contemporary Iran and to explain the role of components such as the effects of artists and art groups on the activity of art galleries, the role of audiences, advertisements, media and critics. , governance and political issues and economic issues. The questions raised in this research question how art galleries appeared in Iran and the effective atmosphere in their creation. The influence of galleries on Iranian artistic movements and the extent of their positive and negative effects on the important artistic movements of Iran in the last hundred years will also be among other questions in this research.
